2025 Student Mission - San Antonio - Day Three

San Antonio Day THREE!!!

Today was a long one! After working all day and attending our program, worship, and small group time, we spent the evening creating a scrapbook for our homeowner, Ms. Betty, which we’ll deliver to her tomorrow.

We started shingles and added siding and paint to her home today. Your students continue to work so hard! I’m very proud of our group and the teamwork they’re doing. Tomorrow is the final work day! Pray for rest and sweet dreams tonight so that we can finish strong!

Let's hear from Oruese Ovbagbedia and Ethan Encarnacion!

Work day three was a day of success and accomplishment. Before we started the workday, we took a nice picture with Ms. Betty after Elizabeth brought the grey paint for the house.

While Group 1 started adding shingles, we in Group 2 began painting. We made great progress, finishing half of the house. After installing a decent amount of shingles and replacing tiling, we headed to lunch. The sandwiches made by our much-appreciated stomachs-sandwich assemblers were delicious 😋.

But our break only lasted so long, and we went back to work. Two to three hours went by, and we accomplished a lot at Ms. Betty's house. We managed to start painting a different side of the house, bringing us closer to the finish, and some of us got to know Ms. Betty more, getting to chat with her in her perfectly temperature-controlled home.

After a great day's worth of work, we decided to head back to the Blueprint headquarters. We all packed our things up, said our goodbyes, and drove away. Back at Blueprint Ministries, we were tired as can be. Luckily, we were the first ones back and had the best showers. All in all, while still craving HEB barbecue, we had a great day with great results. We’re on our way to deliver it to Ms. Betty now. Amen

Grace and Peace,

Becca Rivas, Director of Congregational Life

Loving these updates from the student mission trip — it’s inspiring to see young people making a meaningful impact through service and faith. The joy and dedication really shine through! It’s the same kind of presence and purpose you see in The View 2025 Sunny Hostin Chain Necklace Top — bold, graceful, and full of heart.
