Spiritual Direction offers a dedicated space to slow down, reflect, and notice how God is at work in your life.

 

A Spiritual Director's role is not to provide answers or solve problems, but to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and accompany you as you grow in your relationship with God. Together, you'll explore your prayer life, discern God's presence in everyday experiences, and create space for the Holy Spirit to guide the conversation.

 

Spiritual Direction is available through one-on-one, confidential conversations for adults seeking to deepen their faith, discern a decision, navigate a life transition, or simply cultivate a richer prayer life. Sessions are typically held monthly and are open to anyone desiring to grow closer to Christ.

 

Meet Our Spiritual Companion

Church of the Holy Apostles is blessed to offer the ministry of Spiritual Direction through congregant Dianna Berg.

 

Dianna completed a three-year formation program through the School for Spiritual Direction and Formation in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and was commissioned on June 12, 2021, by Bishop Kathryn Ryan. She offers the ministry of Spiritual Direction as a Spiritual Companion, walking alongside others as they seek a deeper awareness of God's presence and activity in their lives.

 

As Dianna describes her ministry, "A Spiritual Director's greatest privilege is to engage in holy listening while supporting a seeker in the search for a deeper and more personal relationship with God."

Suggested Contribution

Spiritual Direction is offered as a ministry of accompaniment and holy listening. To help foster a commitment to the process and support the ongoing ministry of the church, participants are invited to make a contribution of $25–$50 per session, as they are able. If this amount presents a financial hardship, it may be adjusted accordingly. No one will be turned away because of an inability to contribute. All contributions are directed to Church of the Holy Apostles' Clergy Discretionary Fund to support those in need.
