Ministry FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have never served before?
No experience is needed. Every ministry provides guidance, training, and support. You can start small and grow into your role at your own pace.

Can I try a ministry before committing?
Yes! Many ministries welcome volunteers to shadow or help for a short time before making a longer commitment. This helps you see if it’s a good fit for your gifts and schedule.

Is training provided?
Absolutely. All ministries provide the tools, guidance, and mentoring you need to serve with confidence. Some roles have short training sessions, while others provide on-the-job coaching.

How much time will serving take?
Time commitments vary by ministry. Some roles require a few hours a month, while others may meet weekly or participate during Sunday services. We work with your schedule to find the best fit.

Do I need special skills to serve?
Only a willingness to serve and a heart for ministry. Some roles may benefit from specific skills, but most ministries provide training and support to help you succeed.

How do I get started?
Fill out our interest form, attend a Lunch and Learn session, or reach out to our Director of Congregational Life, Becca Rivas. We will help you discover your gifts and connect you with the ministry that fits you best.

Can I serve in more than one ministry?
Yes! Many people serve in multiple areas that match their gifts and schedule. You are welcome to explore as many ministries as you like.
