2023 Pentecost - Newsletter (No date).png

Pentecost

May 28

The Day of Pentecost is a Christian holy day commemorating the coming of the Holy Spirit in the form of flames to the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the New Testament in Acts 2:1–21.

There were Jews from around the known world who had come to Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit gave them the ability to hear the Apostles preaching the Gospel each in their own languages.

We celebrate this day by wearing red and with a reading in multiple tongues.  If you speak a 2nd language and would like to participate in the service, please let us know.

Contact Stephanie Thomas, Engagement Coordinator, for more information.
