Fight the Bite

Aug 2022 - Oct 2022

Malaria is particularly devastating in Africa, where it is a leading killer of children. In fact, there are 10 new cases of malaria every second. Every 60 seconds, a child in Africa dies from malaria infection and 90% of all malaria deaths occur in the region. When combined with HIV/AIDS, malaria is even more deadly, particularly for pregnant women and children.

The COTHA Team will be traveling to Uganda in October to deliver over 6,000 nets! Your donation of only $10 provides a net that helps cover a family of 4 for over 5 years!

Confirmation Classes

Aug 2022 and Sep 2022

Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates "express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop" (BCP, p. 860). Those who were baptized at an early age and those baptized as adults without laying on of hands by a bishop are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop (BCP, p. 412). Adults baptized with the laying on of hands by a bishop are considered to be confirmed. Learn More.

Alpha

Sep 11 - Nov 20 • 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Are you looking for a place to meet others in the church and ask questions about life, faith, and meaning?

The Alpha program has been used by thousands of churches worldwide to foster a relaxed environment where people can explore the basics of the Christian faith.

Each session involves a meal, watching an episode on a question of faith, and then time for small group discussion.  It is a great way for you to get to know people in church and connect with others.  Moreover, I encourage you to invite a friend or neighbor to Alpha, as it is also designed for people with little to no experience of Christianity who want to learn more.  Alpha is famous for allowing people to ask any questions without judgment or fear of being wrong.
