About the event

Palm Cross Making – Preparing for Palm Sunday

Join us as we prepare for Palm Sunday by learning the beautiful tradition of making palm crosses.

The custom of creating palm crosses dates back many centuries in the Christian church. Palm branches recall Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, when crowds welcomed him by waving palms and laying them on the road. Over time, Christians began weaving the palms into crosses as a way of connecting the celebration of Palm Sunday with the cross that lies at the heart of Holy Week.

All are welcome, no experience is necessary.
