San Antonio Day FOUR!!!
We’ve finished day four and for the first time in four years we completed the tasks we set out to complete at the beginning of the week!
I’m so so proud of these students and the hard work they put in to finish the job and do it well. Tonight we’ll have our final dinner together and last worship and program night before packing up tomorrow. Thank you for sharing for your students with me this week. As always, it’s a joy and privilege watching them grow into outstanding young men and women.
Of course we had to celebrate the end of the week with Sonic!
The blog post below is from Ethan Thomas and Zach Lindley...Two of our senior boys that have been with me at Blueprint for the past four years!
We got to Ms. Betty’s and greeted her on her doorstep. We gave her the scrapbook that we had worked on the night before. She was very thankful and told us that she would cherish it forever. She said that she was so happy that we could come do the work that we did and words could not possibly describe how she was feeling.
After that rewarding experience we got right to work on the roof. We finished the roof by 1:50 and were so proud at our accomplishment. It was a big team bonding moment looking back on the week we have spent together.
After that we took a break for lunch. Our heart - person assigned to pray each day - led us in prayer and it was truly one of the best experiences that we have had in a group with God. Thanks to our stomachs we have had great lunches all week!! We finished painting and adding new siding to the outside of the house and our work for this week was complete!!
This is the first time in four years that we’ve finished the job we began on day one. Throughout the week we have learned a lot about Ms. Betty and her life story. Her childhood, children, grand children and great grand children, and current life. She is a very interesting person that we loved to get to know this week. When we were leaving we made a big prayer circle with Ms. Betty and said our final goodbyes.
This week has been a blessing to get to help someone who can’t do it themselves, and making a new friend in Ms. Betty.
Tonight is our last dinner together and last time for worship and small group time. The energy is high and everyone is ready for Schlitterbahn tomorrow.
Grace and Peace,
Becca Rivas, Director of Congregational Life
I am going to share with you an apparel that belongs to a very famous singer, that outfit is Rock Brad Pitt F1 The Movie 2025 White Shirt, in which a very different design is used. Which is currently making a lot of noise in the fashion of winter outfits.
