New Nursery Staff!

Meet our two newest Nursery Staff Members, MJ Dailey and Sarah Hatcher!

MJ Dailey

What do you love about COTHA?

What I love about COTHA is the family bond that everyone has with one another. Everyone trusts and loves each other as if they were part of their own family. When I first came to this church as a freshman I was super scared to meet people but everyone took me in, showed me the ropes, and treated me as if I'd been there my whole life.

Tell us a little about yourself...

I'm a junior at Taylor High School who's in love with our choir and forensic programs. I've been in choir for almost 9 years and hope to continue a musical journey throughout the rest of my life. I came to COTHA about two to three years ago when my dad became part of the worship team. My goal is to get my DMA in vocal performance and degree in forensic science when I go to college.

And finally, do you have a favorite Bible verse?

My favorite verse has to be Psalm 91:4-10. I've had this chapter read to me time and time again but this part always sticks out to me. To think that he is always with you no matter what wrapping you in his protective wings always made me feel warm and happy inside.

What do you love about COTHA?

I love how welcoming everyone is. It really feels like a family.

Tell us a little about yourself...

I started coming to COTHA in 2014 when my family and I moved to Katy from New Jersey. After graduating from Katy High School in 2019, I attended the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, I'm back in Katy finishing my degree in Medical Laboratory Science at Houston Methodist Hospital. In my free time, I love to read, spend time with my family, and exercise. I'm so glad to be back at COTHA and help the little ones of our church grow in faith.

And finally, do you have a favorite Bible verse?

My favorite bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 because it perfectly describes what true love is and how to give it to others.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Welcome to the team MJ and Sarah!
