Day 4
We moved on to our new church in the village of Kamonkoli. However, we are not at the church, as it was damaged in a windstorm. We are at the Hines Uganda Mission using their Holmes Medical Clinic, which is a very nice facility.
We are spread out, so the logistics are more manageable, and it keeps us moving steadily. Today, we gave out 600 nets to the community and probably saw an equal or slightly higher number of medical patients.
While we have not had many serious medical cases, we have a few we will send to the city hospital. Because of your generosity, it appears we can take care of all of these cases.
I had the luxury of visiting with a few of our volunteers. We talked about how they dream of starting churches, businesses, and families. A discussion on how to overcome tribalism and cultural differences showed me that they face many of the same issues we face. We came to the conclusion that we, as Christians, should be one tribe that overrides all differences. Some of these young Ugandans have a lot of wisdom.
