The staff and I sat down to learn more about our family:
How did you and Gloria, your wife, meet?
Gloria and I met during our freshman year of high school after a cousin introduced us. She had just moved from California, and by the following school year, we started dating—the rest is history!
Tell us more about her: Gloria was born and raised in Orange, California, and her parents are originally from Mexico. I'm also a son of Mexican immigrants, so we both love traditional Mexican dishes. She recently returned to school and is working toward her Master of Social Work (MSW). She loves the beach and enjoys traveling back to California whenever she can.
You have THREE daughters? YES! We have three daughters who keep our lives full of joy and energy. Leah, our oldest, is 13 (soon to be 14 in July). She was born in Dallas but has spent most of her life in Wisconsin. Leah is passionate about music; she sings in the church and school choir and plays the saxophone. Emma is nine and a proud Wisconsinite. She’s adventurous, loves the outdoors, enjoys singing and storytelling, and makes friends wherever she goes. Junia is five and follows in her sisters’ footsteps with a love for music, especially singing and dancing—she’s our little performer!
Any pets?
We don’t currently have pets, though we’ve had them in the past and hope to welcome a small dog into the family in the future and name it Puka.
Lastly, what does fun look like for y'all?
As a family, we love being outdoors, going on hikes, reading together, and taking road trips. Our favorite vacation destination is California in the summer, where we enjoy time at the beach. We also love cooking meals together, watching movies, and having our occasional Saturday night karaoke session at home.
See y'all soon!
In Christ,
Pedro
