Although COTHA was unable to send a mission team to El Salvador in person this year, our hearts were still very much present. Through prayer, generosity, and the grace of God, we were able to provide something life-changing for a family in need—a new home.
Meet Hernán Ovidio Hernández and his wife, Ana. They are the loving and hardworking parents of a family of six, including their children and a grandchild. For years, they have poured themselves into building a better future for their family, especially for their oldest daughter, Ana Guadalupe, who is in her fifth year of studying nursing.

Ana Guadalupe is on her way to becoming the first in her family to graduate from college. She has a scholarship that covers tuition and registration, but the family continues to face challenges paying for transportation, books, and other school-related expenses. Still, they press on with determination and faith.
Their previous home—a small, mud-brick structure—was badly damaged by harsh rains and earthquakes. For the past eight years, the family has been living in a borrowed house. However, that house is no longer an option, as the relative who owns it now needs the space back. With nowhere else to go, their situation had become urgent.
Thanks to the generous support of our church family and our continued partnership with Sus Hijos in El Salvador, we were able to provide the funds needed to build a safe and stable home for the Hernández family. Each family member now has their own bed, and the house is equipped with electricity and a fan. This new home is more than just a roof over their heads—it’s a powerful reminder of hope, stability, and God’s faithful provision.

Please continue to keep the Hernández family in your prayers—especially Ana Guadalupe, as she works toward graduation and a promising future.
