Bishop Joseph and the Mothers Union Conference

ree

Bishop Joseph coordinated a Mothers’ Union Conference in Sudan during the month of December. This group reflects the quiet but faithful work of the Mothers’ Union, a global Anglican Christian movement dedicated to strengthening families, empowering women, and serving communities through prayer and practical action. Founded in 1876, the Mothers’ Union is active in more than 80 countries, including Sudan, where Christians are a small minority.

The Mothers’ Union is an Anglican Christian Organization. Their ministry includes visiting hospitals and prisons, offering literacy and financial education, providing vocational skills training, and supporting peace and reconciliation efforts. This work is deeply rooted in Christian faith and carried out with compassion and courage in a challenging context.

These conferences provide opportunities for worship, prayer, leadership development, and mutual encouragement, as well as time to share experiences and plan future outreach. They strengthen bonds among members and renew a shared commitment to serving families and communities in Christ’s name.

I’ll be meeting with Bishop Joseph on Jan 22 at 8:00 a.m. if you’d like to join and get to know him and his ministry better.

In Christ,

Alex
