Day 2
Day 2 at Mrs. Mendez’s home, and we couldn’t accomplish as much as we’d hoped due to some needed repairs, BUT we did repair all of the holes and rotten parts of the main part of the roof!
Everyone had great attitudes, and we made it back early for some games and to relax in the AC!
Tonight we had homeowner dinner, where all homeowners were invited to come and break bread with us. Mrs. Mendez was not able to join us, and we definitely missed spending time with her. I am so proud of our students and their hearts and willingness to work hard, support each other, and get out of their comfort zones to build a relationship with Mrs. Mendez.
We finished our evening with worship, chapel, and small group time. Tomorrow, God willing, we will be shingling! Please pray for rest tonight and clouds in the morning.
