2022 Student Mission - San Antonio - Day 1

Student Mission Trip - San Antonio - Day 1

Our first day on the worksite!

We are each assigned to be “a part of the body of Christ”. We each have an important role in the group. Either making sure we have on sunscreen, drinking water, tool inventory, and other things like that.

Luckily it wasn’t too hot in the morning but got pretty warm after about 11am, but don't worry, we took plenty of water breaks!

Our first task is to de-shingle Mr. Garcia's roof. We divided into two teams to take shifts on the roof. We are about half way done with the shingles and should finish tomorrow. Then the fun part, adding new ones! Our team is blessed with hard workers!

Mr. Garcia is our host and he has lived in his house for 32 years! He’s a kind man with a bit of health issues. Please join us in praying for him this week and praying for our time working on his home.

Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Join us in praying this week for their work in underserved communities, protection as they travel and work construction, and open their hearts to new relationships as they serve the people of San Antonio.
