Hope Impacts which is an umbrella organization for helping the homeless in the Katy area had their quarterly meeting yesterday at COTHA to discuss further the steps being made in helping the under privileged in our community.
It is absolutely amazing to see God at work in these people. Among the group were Pastor’s from other churches as well as services who assist the homeless daily. One gentleman came all the way from Conroe to share his story with our group. God put it on his heart a few years ago to provide a shelter for the homeless. He and his wife started the project slow but now have a home for men who need shelter and assistance. Another man came from the inner city of Houston who is the Director of the Beacon facility. The Beacon is a day center whereby the people in need can receive a warm and healthy breakfast, take a shower and receive specialized counseling. There were at least 35 people gathering to share information about what they are doing in their ministry and what they are finding works and what doesn’t.
God is moving and he is moving in GREAT ways! He’s guiding us and He is definitely blessing us with good solid direction and HUGE HEARTS!
A few minutes ago I heard a song on the radio, which fits so perfectly with this movement. The words were something like, “Let them see You in me, let them feel You in me. I couldn’t help but think God; these words say it so right! Thank You!
