I was recently talking with a friend about how sometimes I wish God would come right out and give me answers to questions and problems that I have. This friend said to me that God does answer our questions yet gives us guidance with our problems but we have to be ready to listen. This really got me thinking. Do I really listen? Maybe I haven’t been listening the way I really should.
In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:6
Everyone has heard the saying “trust your gut.” That little voice inside is really God giving us cues. God’s voice is subtle. He rarely answers with a booming voice. Instead He usually comes in the stillness, in the quite, in the whispers of the day. If you are going to hear a whisper you need to be tuned in. We need to take time to get quite. We need to trust in what we are sensing.
Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live.
Isaiah 55:3
If we will listen in everything we do and everywhere we go, God will lead us down the best path.
