I love the fall. I love the cooler weather and the crisp feeling in the air when I first step outside in the morning. It is such a wonderful feeling. I also love all the pumpkins and other decorations that adorn people’s houses and yards at this time of year. Mmmmm, pumpkin everything. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin festivals, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin candles, and pumpkin pie custard sundae. Yes if you have never had a pumpkin pie custard sundae, you must head to Ritter’s and try one. How can one fruit bring so much happiness and deliciousness?
I love the big comfy sweaters and boots. Growing up in New Jersey, fall was always a time of raking up huge piles of leaves and then jumping in them. In Jersey the leaves would turn the most beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow. I miss seeing all those beautiful colors. One of my favorite movies of all times, You’ve Got Mail, has the best line in it about fall. “Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
Although fall is quite different here in Texas it is still a wonderful season no matter where you live.
