There were hundreds of people waiting on the lawn for us. They all looked like they had dressed in their finest clothes. I was struck by the grounds and church that was a brick building and metal roof, but very nice
Then we set up the clinic with exam areas and places for the pharmacy - a well oiled process. They tell me that there were 900 patients this morning and we had a dentist also who seemed very busy pulling teeth over in her dental corner
We fitted around 60 people with readers which was wonderful and we could have used three times
that amount. It was very touching that I happened to look up and recognized my husband's glasses on a villager and he was so happy he could see he was almost dancing. For lunch James fixed us spaghetti which was the best I ever tasted. Another high point was handing out mosquito nets. I was humbled by the people's gratitude. There were lots of amens to my saying "God bless you" to them.
