I encourage you to bring a friend, your family or even a stranger because I have a sense that God is going to blow us away with His love and presence.
See you tonight, and Merry, Merry Christmas!
Tonight we have two opportunities to celebrate the cataclysmic event called Christmas. What God did on that first Christmas over 2000 years ago still brings humanity together in awe and thanksgiving. I hope you will join us tonight at either 5:00 pm or 10:30 pm for a wonderful celebration of God with us, Emmanuel!

It's easy to forget what all the excitement around Christmas is about. When we lose focus, we tend to think it's all about the man who came down the chimney not the son of man who came down from heaven. I've found it's important to step back and prayerfully consider what I am doing to prepare myself for the real meaning of Christmas.
I've attached a scene from GOD GREW TIRED OF US which explores the indomitable spirit of the “Lost Boys” from the Sudan who leave their homeland and move to America, where they build active and fulfilling new lives but remain deeply committed to helping the friends and family they have left behind. This clip asks the question "Is Santa in the Bible?" |
