Seriously, it has been said by me and others that this has been one of the best mission trips we’ve chaperoned. Our missioners have really stepped up to the plate, worked hard (both on site and together as a team) and dug deep. It has been an amazing honor to be part of such a great team of youth.

Team Vickerman/Matthews/Spier:
Our final day of mission was some heavy duty love. Team Spier helped a senior resident clean out her kitchen after years of collecting stuff. When they arrived, it was a scene from Hoarders and when they left, it was a beautifully, clean kitchen. It was an awesome transformation! Team Vickerman/Matthews, after some of their own cleaning and landscaping, spent the morning with Pearl, talking and untangling her sea shell wind chimes. She was 85 years young and had many, many stories for us. It was a pleasant morning. Our afternoon was spent in the Senior Center. Craig and I once again battled Chris and Agnes, along with a new resident and lost once again. We’ll have to return for a rematch.
Team Fraher/Thompson:
Wrapped up their collective VBS and Kids Camp. VBS enjoyed a shaving creme battle and Kids Camp Water Day. Saying goodbye is always bittersweet. VBS saw 2 children receive Christ so it was an amazing week!
Upon arrival back at base camp, it was discovered that someone had taken a fire extinguisher and sprayed it all over a portion of the building not current being used. Fortunately, it was determined that it happened last week and not by any of our missioners…however, it needed to be cleaned, and Team COTHA responded. An hour or so later, we were done.
Again, thank you for sharing your children…it has been an honor. See you in a couple of hours…DM+
