Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to the “COTHA King’s Company” production of “Scrooge”.
It is such a busy time of year which provided me the excuse that I was busy and had too many things to do, therefore, really shouldn’t go. Needless to say…. I went anyway and I’m SO glad I did!
The cast was made up of several families from church along with some single individuals who attend COTHA. It’s always so neat to see moms, dads and kids involved in the same project. That must be fun to act out other characters on stage together!
The actors did a GREAT job portraying their characters and engaged the audience by having us boo, hiss, hoot and howl to persuade Scrooge of our disapproval of his attitude and actions.
The sets, costumes and make up were WONDERFUL!!! The ghosts were colorfully ghostly and Marley was absolutely SCARY!!!!!! The young man who played Scrooge was transformed into a grouchy, crusty old man!!!! It’s mind blowing just how much talent we have among us at COTHA!!!
I’m so thankful for all the hard work and time that the actors give to make these plays so successful!!! Thanks to everyone!!! I’ll look forward to the next production!!!
