I enjoyed watching the people we passed, to see how colorfully many were dressed, to see how the people are very busy with daily life, not too different from back home. Most folks have their hair cut short even most of the women. Women almost all wore simple skirts with the older women's dresses being something extra colorful and traditional. I was surprised to see women policemen and soldiers, but I never noticed a woman driving a vehicle. Like children anywhere, the kids were having fun rolling old tires with a stick. A brother and sister had made their own see-saw of a wooden plank from the carpenter shop nearby. Children love to have fun.
We've gotten settled in at Hotel Mt. Elgon, where there is an excellent view of the mountain. We met with Pastor Morris this evening and planned out assignments for worship service, tomorrow, hard to believe three days have flown by.
All the folks I've met so far have been so very wonderful. I'm looking forward to worshipping this Sunday with fellow believers half way around the world from Texas, but praising the same Savior, Jesus Christ.
